While I was in Belfast last weekend, one of my dogs - Meeko - was euthanised. He had been very sick and took a turn for the worse while I was gone. It wasn’t fair to make him wait for me. I’d had him since he was a puppy - I remember getting the news that I was being given puppies for my birthday, and scrawling PUPPIES excitedly across the pages of my school notebook the next day - and we think he was around 12 or 13 when he died.
The above photo was taken after the Korean GP this year. He wasn’t very fond of cuddles and I don’t recall him ever sleeping on my chest before then.
